Description of the road track

The entire track is on the territory of Jurmala city and runs parallel to the river. In essence the track is quite similar to the Pirita-Kloostrimetsa track that Estonians are familiar with - a road with a good asphalt surface, surrounded alternately by pine forests and private homes. Unlike the Pirita track, this track lacks a considerable profile. Mostly the track isn't very prone to being windy, but there are a few more open sections as well.

Awards:

  • There are no stage awards in the Filter Velokauss series. The award ceremony will take place at the end of the season.

Other info:

  • Keep in mind that even though the participants have priority over other traffic on the track, most of the track is still open to cars as well. The riders are also required to ensure their own safety to the best of their abilities and follow the traffic regulations. The riders may only occupy the right hand side of the road - cutting bends is strictly prohibited!

  • The Filter Time Trial Cup is not only meant for professional athletes with expensive gear. It is a recreational sports event and cyclists of any level are welcome.
